		<description>* In fact you can claim the VAT back on any services you receive in the 6 months before registration as long as the services don&#039;t relate to &#039;goods&#039; which you&#039;ve sold on before registration. 

So you can claim the VAT back on a subcontractor charges and your mobile phone bill for the last 6 months, but you can&#039;t claim the VAT back on the servicing on your van if you sold it on just before you registered for VAT.</description>
